During the month of February, Newman University students, staff, faculty and alumni celebrate the university’s founders the Adorers of the Blood of Christ, our namesake Blessed John Henry Cardinal Newman, and our rich history and Catholic traditions during Heritage Month.

This year marked the third annual event. The celebration began with a Mass on Feb. 3 honoring ASC foundress St. Maria De Mattias. Other events included Homecoming Week, a Mission Talk on Marciana Heimerman, ASC by Director of Mission Effectiveness Charlotte Rohrbach, ASC, the traditional High Tea, and a new event, the Difference Makers for Wichita Banquet. Heritage Month concluded Feb. 28 with an All-Faiths Prayer Service in St. John’s Chapel.
