
Newman welcomes three new members to its Board of Trustees
Glenna L. Borho brings extensive business leadership and public service experience. A Susquehanna University graduate, she built a distinguished career in purchasing management before establishing a successful retail business in Kansas. Her 29-year public service commitment includes serving as Pratt’s first female mayor and county commissioner. Currently office administrator for a five-location optometry practice, she and her husband, David, have been VIP sponsors of Newman’s Party on the Plaza for 10 years.



Daniel V. Carsey ’02, Esq. exemplifies Newman’s mission through service and intellectual inquiry. The cum laude history graduate and former student body president earned his law degree with highest honors from University of Tulsa. As shareholder and director at Hall Estill, he handles multi-million-dollar commercial litigation cases. His commitment to community service and leadership includes chairing the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Light the Night Walk and serving on Mount St. Mary Catholic High School’s board.
Michael Eck ’03 demonstrates unwavering Newman loyalty as National Alumni Board president. The former Jets basketball player transformed the Newman Jet Golf Open into the athletic department’s premier fundraising event. As vice president of Eck Agency Inc., one of Kansas’ largest family-owned insurance agencies, he trains agents nationwide. He resides in Cheney with his wife, Jenni ’04, and their three children.
