CASE BELL, DIRECTOR OF EQUITABLE ACCESS AND INTERNATIONAL STUDENT SERVICES, was selected as the Kansas Independent College Association liaison to the Kansas Board of Regents Title IX Work Group. Case also completed his coursework for a Doctorate of Education in Leadership in Higher Education at Baker University.
GEORGIA DREWES, ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF ADMISSIONS FOR RECRUITMENT, is entering her fourth year as College Fairs Chair for the Great Plains Association for College Admission Counseling and was re-elected for a second term as president for the Great Plains chapter of the United States Bowling Congress (USBC). Georgia also placed fourth in the nation at the 2019 USBC Women’s Championships.
JOHN EXLINE, SCHOOL OF BUSINESS ADJUNCT PROFESSOR,
was appointed to serve a two-year term as a member of the IMA Global Board of Directors effective July 1, 2019.
NATALIE GRANT, BACHELOR OF SOCIAL WORK FIELD EDUCATION DIRECTOR, was appointed as a member of the Council on the Role and Status of Women in Social Work Education for a three-year term. Natalie was featured in a Course Hero article in May 2019.
AUDREY HANE, PROFESSOR OF COMMUNICATION,
presented a keynote, “Do You Have My Back? Developing a High Trust Environment,” at the Wichita Workplace Wellness conference Aug. 20, 2019.
AMELIA HOPPER, ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF NURSING,
earned the Certified Clinical Nurse Educator distinction in the fall of 2018.
YELANDO JOHNSON, BSW PROGRAM DIRECTOR,
was appointed to the Council on Social Work Education Commission on Membership and Professional Development for a three-year term effective July 1, 2019. Yelando was featured in a Course Hero article in May 2019.
DANIEL MURPHY, WEB TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST,
premiered his short film “Front Yards” at the Doc Sunback Film Fest in Mulvane, Kansas, and was presented with the Judge’s Choice Award.
CHRISTINE SCHNEIKART-LUEBBE, DEAN OF STUDENTS,
was asked to serve as chair on the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators marketing committee.
AMY SIPLE, ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF NURSING,
presented two webinars dealing with dementia through Leading Age Kansas and two additional webinars for Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America.
DARIN SPENCE, WOMEN’S HEAD BASKETBALL COACH,
became the winningest coach in the history of the women’s basketball program at Newman during the 2018-19 academic year.
