Newman University faculty and staff recognized for accomplishments during this academic year.

Norman Duncan, business adjunct professor, became assistant vice president and loan officer at Valley State Bank.

Sharisse Evans, financial aid counselor, earned her National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrator’s Consumer Information credential.

J.V. Johnston, vice president for university advancement, received the Certified Fund Raising Executive accreditation.

Lisa Kellerby, art history adjunct professor, is working as a gifted teacher at USD 262 Valley Center school district.

Scott McIntosh, assistant professor of strategic intelligence, presented a keynote, “John Boyd OODA Loop,” for the Derby Rotary Club in November 2018.

Myra Pfannenstiel, director of financial aid, has been selected as one of six national financial aid professionals to serve on the National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators’ Certified Financial Aid Administrators Commission.

Laura Scholl, assistant professor of graphic design and digital art, presented at Wichita Design Week hosted by the American Institute of Graphic Arts.

Kara Schwinn, assistant director of financial aid, has earned her National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators credential in consumer information.

Amy Siple, associate professor of nursing, received an official letter of appointment by the governor to serve as a member of the Alzheimer’s Disease Plan Working Group.

Teresa Wilkerson, assistant dean of adult studies, was the keynote speaker at Get Started Wichita in September 2018.
